The assignments I’ve heard about that I will be doing this year seem pretty awesome so far, especially the last English assignment we will be getting in year twelve.
It’s going to be an essay on texts that have influenced us and our whole lives. ‘Texts’ being movies, music, books, tv shows, photos, art, blogs, poetry, etc. Pretty much anything that has inspired you, really.
I heard about it when I was in grade ten, my English teacher of the time talked to my class about it and read out some of the ones her year twelves had handed in. They were all amazing. I was pretty fucking inspired, to say the least, so I started planning mine out back then.
I’m so freaking excited to be able to write in a school essay about things like Harry Potter and what I saw at the Gallery of Modern Art and Lady GaGa and Glee and Brand New and Palahniuk and omg I just might die.
I am so stoked for this year, like you don’t even know.
If I ever take a photo of myself kissing someone and post it online, punch me.
Nobody wants to see that, from anyone.
